Bern & Chuck | Engagement Photographer | Queen Wilhelmina Garden in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco

Bern and Chuck were married in 2008, which was just around the time I started to learn my digital camera more seriously. They let me take their pre-wedding (or engagement?) photos to give this photography thing a swirl.

Lights at night

What makes night photography fun is all the lights!!! Don't be surprised -- we will be adding more photos here.

Events

Concerts, baptisms, birthdays, parties -- pictures that weren't enough to have their own gallery. This gallery is a lump of my best event photos.

Humanbuilt

Man is an intelligent form of life, despite unpopular beliefs. Some project anger against humans for destroying the environment or for being less-than-civil in society, or for other reasons. But let's always look at the big picture: without man, you wouldn't have a computer. You can't be so self-loathing that you're against everything on earth. Man is what makes many things possible for you, including the construction of bridges so you can cross, design of buildings so you have a place to work, installation of towers so you have signals, and many more. This gallery is a collection of photos that show these things that man has built.

Earth, Moon, Sun

This gallery is a celestial and geophysical showcase of what our lenses can see. Some are of nature as it is on earth, some are breathtaking shows of what the universe can do for us on earth. Atleast, what our lens can see.

Food

Food comes in many different shapes, colors and sizes. Flavors are sensational. Food photography is trending, and why shouldn't it be? Most of us who are connected to the Internet have access to cameras, and we share what we eat. Here are some that I have enjoyed. In some cases, I don't always enjoy the food. But I took a photo because the colors captivated my eyes more than they did my tastebuds. Either way, I was fed.

Animal Planet

This planet is full of life, thanks in large to animals. I will continue to add more to this gallery as I go. From animals that live in Redwood Shores to those that are exhibited in the zoo. It would be great to go on an African safari and capture animals in their most natural habitats. Until then, all I can share with you are animals that were brought in close contact to humans.

Faces

Here is a collection of faces. As I collect more, this here is something to start you with. Faces are what represent us at first glance; they say to not judge a book by its cover, but we do that anyway. It may not be the most important feature, but let's love our faces and the beauty it DOES represent. There is no ugly face in the world.

The Glowing Stars at Maker Faire | Concert Photographer | San Mateo, CA

It was a fambam day and we spent Sunday, May 22, at the Maker Faire at the San Mateo Fairgrounds. Egan took all of these pictures of The Glowing Stars. The lights made for an awesome visual show, and editing was kept to a minimum (or none) to preserve the natural feel of the lights.

Rakenrol screening afterparty + Skyflakes concert | Concert Photographer | Mercury Lounge, San Francisco, CA

On Friday, May 13, we were out at Mercury Lounge in San Francisco to take photos of the Rakenrol screening afterparty. The Skyflakes were the guest band. Super Astig brought Rakenrol to San Francisco for an exclusive viewing. We didn't get to watch the movie but we heard a lot of raves at the afterparty, and it's definitely piqued my interest. Enjoy the photos!
