Pumpkin Patch | Lifestyle Photographer | Farmer John's in Half Moon Bay, CA

The family took a trip to neighboring Half Moon Bay to visit Farmer John's and picked up a couple of pumpkins. This was our first time here. The farm is right off the 1, just before the 92 junction.
The kids had a marvelous time. They got a photo with the winning pumpkin from the contest which I believe happened that same weekend. Each of them pulled a mini trailer to store their chosen pumpkin, and then they had a photo op with the tractor. I think they had most fun in the teepee. In it, they started throwing the loose hay needles which got me edgy because I found them in their hair. (Yes of course, they got baths as soon as we got home).

On our way out, we explored around the parking lot and saw sunflowers. There were some good ops to take photos so that we did.

Well, we brought the pumpkins home and carved them the same day. I think it was done too early. The pumpkins were set outdoors, and got moldy within days. Both had to be trashed, and replaced.

The conclusion: The farm was a fun visit, but we shouldn't have carved our pumpkins too early. I had to replace them with store pumpkins.
